Updates..

So, we have been working on all the different parts of our project. Our main focus now is the script and content. Below is a snippet of the characters script. Shereen has been working on the gestures and the home page on Max. The animations are coming along, we have been creating the animations on photoshop and editing the characters using crazytalk.

Moreover, we are recording each character's speech using our voices and adding different "emotives" to each character.

[mubarak Trying to get attention]

- hey, kid.. listen.. listeeeeen. I'll tell you something. Come.. listen to your uncle.. Uncle Hosni.. Hosni Mubarak. Yes yes, Egypt's president. I'm serious.. pre-si-dent. So a couple million egyptians went out to protest on some random day.. doesn't mean much. They THINK i'm no longer president.. but I'm president. You just can't undo what I've done... you can't just not be president anymore if you were me.

Look.. you just have to calibrate.. stand like that [image appears].. and I'll explain how incredible I am as a president and how abdicating my throne made no sense.

Mubarak: Alright kid. Just select me and I'll explain how democratic I was. Egypt was running on democratic morals.. we are a democracy!!

Gamal: Dad.. we're a Republic

Mubarak: a republic? ... that ran on democracy!!

Gamal: buddy.. pick me. I think I can help you out a little more than my dad. He's what? 102? He's just not going to give you the right facts. Pick me and I'll explain everything you need to know about Egypt's educational system.. It just can't be beat.

Adly: Kid.. education? If someone want's to learn about a country, they want to learn about the way it's run. They'd want to know how we operate on justice and freedom. How the rights of the people are take care of.. how we serve to protect! how..

Ahmed Ezz: .. much money we have. That's what anyone cares about. And let me tell you.. we are a humble country making great use of its resources with an incredible economic system. I mean.. have you seen my steal ads? I make use of our resources, i give jobs to people, I pay them handsomely, and I keep this country going. Obviously I should be picked to talk about Egypt and its economy.

Adly: no no no. If we're going to tell them where the egyptian people went wrong.. it would be through my explanation of the justice system! it's simply because the people.. don't understand!

Gamal: understand what? They're ALL educated. *clears throat* what wouldn't they understand

Adly: the justice system. They basically had a revolution based on a big misunderstanding

Mubarak: Stop! I'm the president!

Gamal: ex-president

Mubarak: PRESIDENT! and what I say goes! now select me [creepy smile]

[all characters pause (floating) until user selects]

[whichever character they select says:] good choice kid.. good choice

Hopefully, we'll upload the characters to Max soon and show them in class.
