Spaces

As previously talked about in class we are using MAX's 3D space in order to build the visuals of our project. Within this 3D space, we are creating 3 separate "spaces" each represting a different area of the user will visit.

1) Attention Seeker - this is the space in which Mubarak tries to grab the attention of passers by, by talking to them and explaining that he is still president, and that they should calibrate in order to learn more.

2) Who-You-Talkin'-To? - This is the second space the user will visit once they calibrate. This space will host the four characters: Hosni Mubarak, Gamal Mubarak, Habib El-Adly, Ahmed Ezz and is considered the "categories" space. This is because each character represent a different category that the user can traverse. Categories are: Democracy, Education, Justice, Economy. In this space, the user is to select a character who would take them to the third space.

3) What do you want to know? - This third space is yet another categories space, except the categories here are the Media Categories. The user can pick between News, Images, Social media, and Video. The character will be hovering in a corner of the screen commenting on what the user is viewing. The idea is to help the user understand that the horrors seen in the content being shown is a result of these tyrants being in a place of power.

The user will have the ability to change the media category they are in by performing a specific gesture, This is also the case for changing their character and thus the subject category they are viewing.

Once the user de-callibrates (by leaving the area in which kinect can view the user), Attention Seeker will come back.
